In 1995, I became interested in using the emerging Internet. My first project was putting my resume in HTML. No one wanted to see just my resume, so I quickly included friends and business school classmates, creating Shawn's Internet Resume Center. After that I started advertising and selling the service which began attracting executives, recruiters, and companies in the employment industry. Shawn's Internet Resume Center was one of the first five resume services listed in Yahoo! and was subsequently featured in the Wall Street Journal. The success of the resume center led to requests to help other organizations use the Internet, so I started InPursuit as an Internet consulting company.

I was hired by Total Network Interface, Inc. to help start their Internet/Intranet Solutions Division. First, I formulated what the division would do and created a business plan. Then, I started meeting with potential customers. Within two months, I had created over $750,000 in bids.

I was retained by a major regional recruiting firm to provide an analysis on the Internet implications and emerging markets for the recruiting industry.

I designed and created the Web site for Bread for the World (www.bread.org), a Christian lobbying organization dealing with hunger issues.

C.R. Daniels is a plastics and canvas products manufacturer. As an Industrial Engineer, I performed time studies and methods analysis for our internal process improvement program, created a collapsible fabric bucket for a back-packing company, and planned facility layouts and material handling flows for manufacturing and warehousing.
